Laurent Sévery
CEA Researcher
Laurent studied chemistry at ETH Zurich in Switzerland and received his PhD from the University of Zurich under the supervision of Prof. David Tilley in 2019. During his thesis, he worked on new approaches for the immobilization of molecular catalysts on electrode surfaces using host-guest chemistry.
In 2020, Laurent moved to UC Berkeley and joined the group of Prof. Don Tilley as a postdoc with a grant from the SNF. In Berkeley, he worked on the development of new ligands for bimetallic complexes.
After returning to Europe in 2022, Laurent joined the group of Dr. Thibault Cantat at CEA Saclay as a postdoc, where he worked on electrochemistry and catalysis in silicon chemistry.
In 2024, he joined the SolHyCat lab of Dr. Vincent Artero at CEA Grenoble. His research interests cover molecular and materials-based electrocatalysts and the development of new strategies to synthesize well-defined heterogeneous catalysts.
