Bianca Cecconi

PhD Student - Exchange Program

Bianca Cecconi was born in Florence, Italy, in 1988. She received her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Florence under the guidance of Dr. S. Cicchi and her Master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Florence under the guidance of Dr. A. Mordini. In 2013 she joined the PhD program in materials science at the University of Milano Bicocca under the guidance of Prof. A. Abbotto, working on photo-catalytic hydrogen production through water splitting. She joined Artero’s group on September 2014 for a six-months exchange period to combine noble-metal-free catalyst with metal-free dye sensitized for hydrogen generation.
