Alberto Piccoli
PhD Student
Alberto obtained his MSc Degree in Chemistry from the University of Padua (IT) in 2022. During the master program he spent one year at the Technical University of Munich (GE) where he did his thesis within the group of Prof. Roland Fischer and Prof. Fritz Kühn. After the MSc Degree he worked as a research fellow in the Electrocatalysis and Applied Electrochemistry group (Univ. of Padua) with Prof. Fantin and Prof. Isse.
He joined the group in November 2023 as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Matthieu Koepf and Dr. Marcello Gennari (CIRe team, DCM, UGA). His project focuses on the synthesis and application of metal pincer complexes for electrocatalytic hydrogenation of unsaturated C-O/C-N bonds.
