Siza obtained her Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where she also grew up. In the first year of her Master’s degree, she developed an interest in solar fuels, sustainable catalysis and electrochemistry.

In January 2023, she joined the SolHyCat team for her Master project to work on electrochemical mechanistic studies of Ni-DuBois type HOR/HER catalysts on an electrode surface. Beside her work in the research group, she will enjoy hiking and climbing in the surrounding mountains as much as possible.
