Sebastian Bold

PhD Student

Sebastian was born in 1991 in Cologne, Germany. Sebastian received his Master degree in chemistry at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany in 2017. His Master’s thesis, prepared in the group of Benjamin Dietzek, was concerned with the preparation of Au nanoparticle-doped NiO films as material for photocathodes. In late 2017, he started his PhD thesis on the photocatalytic activity of H2-evolving photocathodes and their spectroscopic investigation using ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy. In his free time, he likes to play tennis and the accordion.
