Lucas was born in France, in 2001, he studied technical laboratory sciences at Pierre Mendes France high school. In September 2019, he joined the IUT 1 Chemistry (in Grenoble) following the speciality : « Materials ». In September 2021, he joined the SolHyCat group to carry out his 2nd year IUT internship on the synthesis and electrochemical characterisation of water oxidation catalysts for proton exchange membrane electrolysers.
